The history of Albert Holz GmbH can be traced back as far as 1907, when the founder was making handmade funiture in a village workshop.  Albert Holz GmbH remains a family enterprise, run by the third and fourth generations, Albert and Philipp Holz. The workshops where Philipp Holz's great grandfather once planed wood now serve as office space.

Albert Holz GmbH produce office furniture for international furniture brands like Walter Knoll, Degussa-Hüls, Martin Stoll, and of course Haworth. The furniture designer specialises in up-scale office furnishings. The creative spectrum ranges from design development to the production of prototypes as well as the completed product ready for mass production.

"Our business has grown healthily over the last 100 years. Our current co-workers understand every step taken in our business: in this way, each of our experts is equipped with the tools needed for an interdisciplinary approach, the perfect point of departure for quickly capturing and realising new ideas", says Albert Holz.

Success has proved him right: his stylish works made of wood and steel are in high demand. They can therefore be found in such prestigious locations as the office of the Sheikh of Riad, the Hotel Reber in Locarno, the Condo in Hong Kong, the DB Sony Tower in Berlin and the Handelsbank in Geneva.

For Haworth, Albert Holz created the a_con executive range for the upper-level management sector and more recently a complete conference programme called Audience which is in homage to Charles Eames.
