Daniel Korb

Daniel Korb was born in Baden, Switzerland in 1958. After completing his studies in Interior Design at the Fachhochschule für Technik in Stuttgart, Germany, he moved on to work for the architects Zinsmeister & Scheffler between 1985 and 1987. After this he worked for the leading Interior Design and furniture store, Fleiner in Stuttgart.

In 1989, Daniel Korb and Susan Korb, his wife, founded the studio KORB + KORB in Stuttgart for architecture and interior design. In 1996 they opened a further office in Baden, Switzerland.

The KORB + KORB philosophy states that design is art that makes itself useful. Clients profit from more than the initial design of an object, they are supported along the whole process through product development to communication.

KORB + KORB have won many innovation and design awards, including: IF China; IF Hannover; red dot and Best of NeoCon.
